Dear Small Pawsers,

We now have a photo of “Bernie’s Tail” that drops without warning, and just hangs there, straight down to the ground.

We thought it was happening just a night, but his Foster Mom says that it happens all of the time with no warning.

His previous owner said that he’s done this since they bought him as a puppy. DO WHAT???! GOOD LORD HAVE MERCY!! (Aunt Bee, “CALL THE MAN, CALL THE MAN, CALL THE MAN!!”)

This is NOT normal. I KNOW Bichon normal. And you do, too.

Are you ready to see this??? (Ignore where he’s chewed it. We’re dealing with that.)

I don’t think you could TRAIN a dog to hold their tail straight down like that.

He’s been chewing his tail and we don’t know why. He’s seeing our vet tomorrow for x-rays of why it hangs like this at times and if it’s connected.

I’ve always felt that a Bichon’s tail is his glory. We’ve got to make sure Bernie’s Tail is ok and that he’s not in pain!

We have raised almost $3000.00 of the needed $8,686.28 for the 8 newest dogs, Rory, Mango, Sydney, Tallulah, Bernie, Beau, Abby, and Maya. (Please see below).

We have three matching donation challenges!

What is a Small Paw® Rescue Matching Donation Challenge?

First, from Judy DeAngeles at judyadea@gmail.com, in Arizona, we have this challenge for $300.00. Thank you Judy! Is there anyone who can match Judy?

“Hi Robin,

They are all very cute and thankful they are in the hands of SPR. Please issue a $300 challenge to help them.

Thanks for all your help.

Judy DeAngelis”

And from Doris Arrich at doris_dol@aol.com. This is a call in challenge to Louie Bertolino. Oh My.

“Issue matching challenge for $200 in memory of her late son Joey

Dolejsch, to help Chevy and any other Bichon get the care they need and

into a new home.”

Doris, we are so sorry for your loss. Bless your heart. Thank you for helping these Bichons.

Then, last time, Small Pawser Mary Hurley issued this challenge, but it wasn’t met, yet. I’m praying that someone can match it this time, when we have so many needs. Thank you Mary for issuing this!

From Mary Hurley at fuffernut@yahoo.com, we have this challenge for $2000.00!

“Hi Robin – please use towards any open challenges and/or issue an additional challenge towards whatever’s left over if that’s doable…

Mary”

So that’s where we are.

I’m here and will issue all matching donation challenges for Sydney’s eye surgeries and Bernie’s Tail, to say the least!.

All My Love, Robin
