Over 18,000 Bichons Rescued!

Wednesday Afternoon, May 22, 2024

Dear Small Pawsers,

We have lots of news, today!

First of all, we recently rescued a little 1-2 year old male, from a shelter near Chicago.

He came into rescue matted to the skin.

He had skin infections and hot spots underneath.

Meet 1-2 year old Sidney, near Chicago.

This poor Bichon had matts everywhere.

He had skin infections and hot spots that required treatment over his 10 days of quarantine.

Of course, he had to be shaved.

His bill is going to be right at $1600.00 for everything, neuter, skin treatments, blood work, heartworm testing, fecal testing, vaccinations, and 10 days of quarantine.

That includes a 30% rescue discount!

Sydney is very sweet.

Next, this is 9 year old “Woody” whom we took into rescue Near Austin, Tx.

His owner just passed away from cancer.

Because his owner had been ill, Woody hadn’t been groomed in some time, and he had to be shaved.

Woody is healthy, other than his TEEFERS.

He may have a dental abscess and they want to do a dental to get to the bottom of this.

This is the estimate for Woody’s dental.

It’s for between $1190.00- $2040.00. We can take off an additional 10% rescue discount.

We need to prepare for the higher end. When we get these estimates, it’s almost never on the lower end.

Gulp. These veterinary costs keep rising. Dentals in South Texas are really expensive.

So we need help for both Sydney and Woody, coming to $3,633.00, after discounts are applied.

I’m here and will issue all Matching Donation Challenges!

Next, after 13 years, we have a brand new website that has just gone live!

Above is our newly designed Small Paws® Rescue Logo, and This Is Our New Website!

Bonnie Ferguson, our Director of Adoptions, and I, worked for months with our new Website Design Team, to come up with a new logo that we felt fits what we do here at Small Paws® Rescue.

We hope that you love it as much as we do!

After 13 years, our previous website stopped being supported.

In the cyber world, a 13 year old website is ancient. Who knew?

That’s why basic had functions stopped working.

We aren’t ancient anymore!

We just went live early this morning.

If any of you see anything that isn’t working, please let us know!

Thank you all for supporting this magnificent obsession.

We wouldn’t be able to rescue anyone, without your support. Thank you!

All My Love, Robin
