We do our very best to match the right dog with the right family. Though this may take a bit longer than going to a local shelter, we find that our adopters are exceedingly happy with the matches we have made for the past 23 years.
If you have not chosen a dog on your application to adopt, please check our Adopt-a-Pet and PetFinder listings periodically. When you find one, contact me at bonnie@smallpawsrescue.org.
Only applications where a particular dog has been chosen, by name, can considered for the adoption process.
If you have chosen a particular dog, by name, in your application, please be patient, watch your email, and we will contact you.
Please keep in mind that sometimes there are many people applying for the same dog. Submitting an application is not a guarantee that you will be selected for that particular fluff. We strive to make the best possible matches for our dogs.
In the event we have a dog who is a match for you, and you are approved to adopt, you would either need to drive to the dog’s location or fly to pick him or her up as we are a national organization.
Our adoption fee for dogs under 8 years old is $250.00, and for dogs over 8 years old it is $200.00. We spend an average of $1500 to $2000 per dog on complete vetting.
