Please Sign Steve Ferraro’s Guest Book for Jody. Funeral and Wake Times and Locations in CT.

November 23, 2019

Dear Small Paws Family,

First, I want to thank Virginia Sory Brown, one of our Small Paws volunteers, from Ann Arbor Michigan.

Virginia has gotten my round trip airline tickets, very nice hotel rooms for two nights, and has reserved a rental vehicle for me, so that I may attend Steve’s wake this Tuesday evening and his funeral mass on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. She took care of everything. She is very gracious. I stayed with her once a few years ago and she is just very special. Thank you, Virginia.

This is Steve’s online obituary and a place to sign his guest book, for Jody.

Friends are invited to meet directly in St. Theresa’s Church, 5301 Main St., Trumbull, CT. on Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. John’s Cemetery, 500 Moose Hill Rd., Monroe, CT. Friends may greet the family on Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at The Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull CT.

For those of you who don’t know, Jody and Steve Ferraro have done so much for Small Paws Rescue over the years.

Steve was involved with some of the administrative things, behind the scenes, working on adoptions for Small Paws Rescue.

Jody is one of our Co-Team Leaders, as well as our online Auction Webmistress. Jody has raised tens of thousands of dollars for these Bichons, over the last many years.

I first met Jody at a Bash up in Ct. We became fast friends.

Steve joined her one year at the Okie Bash, here in Tulsa. A nicer guy you could not find.

He had a way with the little Bichons and all dogs, and decided to make grooming them his life’s work, after working 17 years for Yale University.

I’m honored to have called Steve my friend. I know we are all praying for Jody.

Again, her request is for us not to let the Holiday Auction go. She has worked so hard on it and it is helping to occupy her mind now. She would love it to see the bids come up. She texts me with excitement each time it goes up to the next $500.00.

The 2019 Small Paws Rescue Holiday Online Auction is Open.

Click here to see items with no bids yet.

I’ll tell you about some items that Jody wants to highlight, later on. The Holiday auction ends next Sunday evening. Please keep Jody in your prayers. All My Love, Robin

Humphrey Sisco
Dec 26, 1993~ Aug 30, 2006 Pet Loss Link

When I first saw this beautiful picture of Cheri Sisco’s “Humphrey”, I thought it was truly the epitome of what we do, and why we do it. I wanted to use this black and white picture of Humphrey, taken only days before his death due to congestive heart failure, to let those who may be new to Small Paws, know what we do and why we do it. Without Small Paws, Humphrey would have never known love. He would have died in a kill shelter, sick and alone. Because of Small Paws, and Cheri Sisco, he lived, he loved, and he smiled.
