Gem of the Day: “If you’re lucky, a dog will come into your life, steal your heart, and change everything.” Unknown

Dear Small Pawsers,

We’ve decided to cancel our upcoming online summer auction. There just aren’t enough people around in the summer to participate.

Instead, we are going to have a HUGE online Holiday auction, which will start on October 30. We will move the items that have already been donated to the Holiday Auction. Thank you for your understanding!

Bichons and Bichon mixes are falling from the skies again. Some are up on our Petfinder’s Page, while others are in various states of recoveries from illnesses, surgeries, and amputations.

I’ve chosen three to highlight in today’s newsletter.

First, meet 3 Year Old DARLING CoCo! He has definitely met a Bichon!

Coco was surrendered to a Texas shelter by his owner, because they couldn’t care for him anymore.

We swooped him up, despite the fact that he has a head tilt to the right.

His veterinarian made sure it wasn’t from having distemper as a puppy with a titer test, which was negative.

He doesn’t have inner ear issues either.

He may have had previous trauma. We just don’t know and will probably never know.

But what we DO know is that IT DOESN’T BOTHER HIME ONE BIT! Wanna SEE??? Click below!

And he is a snuggly, happy, lover! He is ready for a home! He is in the Dallas, Texas area.

This is an application to adopt.

Next, we have one year old tripod, Bentley! Click on his picture above to see more pictures. He is located in the Dallas, Texas area.

He is a vivacious loving pup. He’s about a year old.

He likes to chill out with foster siblings, or me in the recliner, and he plays with stuffed toys!

Bentley was probably a hit by car. His owners kept him a month and didn’t get medical help. His front leg had multiple fractures and was crushed and too far gone. The veterinarians advised that it be amputated. Bentley is doing well on three legs!

Bentley loves going for daily walks, although he does try to chase the rabbits.

He greets other dogs and people nicely while on walks and on the patio when they come up to meet him.

He is well mannered and is house trained at our house.

Bentley needs a small young dog already living in the home for him to play with. He also needs a home without cats.

Children in the home need to be at least 10 years old. He is located in N.TX

Next, we have yet ANOTHER tripod!

Pearl is approx. 5 years old. Her face and feet are stained but it will grow out.

Pearl’s back leg had been broken for longer than a month.

We don’t know for how long but our veterinarian said it was not surgical and had to be amputated.

She’s doing well, recovering from surgery, and learning how to get around on three legs.

She will need a small dog already living in the forever home chose for her, as well as a home with no cats.

Children in the home need to be at least 10 years old. She is located in the Dallas area.

Lucia, “Lucy” upon intake a few months ago.

Five year old “Lucy” today, freshly groomed. I know she looks good on the outside, but inside her heart rate drops suddenly.

She can’t be spayed or have a “not just merely but really most sincerely” needed dental, due to her inability to have anesthesia, until she gets our first ever Pacemaker put in.

Medvet has been doing them for 14 years, but Lucy is our first, thanks to the Florida Bash and YOU!

Lucy’s Pacemaker procedure has been postponed until tomorrow, June 24, 2022 at Medvet in Columbus, Ohio. This time she got kennel cough and had to be treated for that. But she is ready now. We are a GO for tomorrow! All My Love, Robin
