“Simon” is 3-4 years old and came into a South Texas shelter as a stray with his litter mate.

He was covered in bugs and stickers and he is Heartworm Positive.

“Schuster” is 3-4 years old and came into a South Texas shelter as a stray with his litter mate, Simon.

He was also covered in bugs and stickers and he is also  Heartworm Positive.

The vets say they are littler mates and are bonded.

The estimate for their vetting and quarantine is going to be high and they need your help.

It’s for between $1,334.68 – $1,484.29 EACH which is a total for both of

between $2,669.36 and $2,968.58.

My My My Delilah. She came into rescue as a hot mess. She has sarcoptic mange.

Blood was coming out of her ears. Her estimate is for $1,108.79.

Delilah had to be shaved to treat mange. Folks, this is what we call a buck nekid Bichon.

(Just so you know what they look like without their coats on.)

Her skin is 75% better according to Dr. Ping from the mange treatments they are giving.

We need a total of  $4,077.37 just for these three.

You know we don’t ask if we don’t need help. South Texas is being over run with Bichons.

I Thank God for our Team Leader, Karla Cater who keeps track of the medical conditions

and estimates and gets the information to me, so that I can get it to you.

Help is needed. All My Love, Robin

P.S. We have five Bichons in South Texas who will be needing local foster homes in

10 days to 2 weeks, if at all possible.

Flying is an option but we have to wait for cool days and they are coming out of Houston TX.

If you live within driving distance of Houston, Tx., we need you!

Humphrey Sisco
Dec 26, 1993~ Aug 30, 2006

When I first saw this beautiful picture of Cheri Sisco’s “Humphrey”, I thought it was truly the epitome of what we do, and why we do it. I wanted to use this black and white picture of Humphrey, taken only days before his death due to congestive heart failure, to let those who may be new to Small Paws, know what we do and why we do it. Without Small Paws, Humphrey would have never known love. He would have died in a kill shelter, sick and alone. Because of Small Paws, and Cheri Sisco, he lived, he loved, and he smiled.

(All recipients of the Small Paws Rescue newsletter receive it voluntarily. Small Paws never gleans e-mail addresses from other e-mail lists. Small Paws never solicits e-mail addresses or shares them with other “lists” or organizations.)

(Always remember. God loves you more than anyone else ever has,
and more than anyone else ever will!)
