Dear Small Pawsers,

First, I want to let you know the results of Henry’s MRI in Dallas.

There is swelling over two of his neck vertebrates, consistent with being hit by a car.

Right now, the Neurologist wants us to try steroids to get the swelling down. We have another appt in 2 months.

So far so good!

Next, we have this important announcement!

The Small Paws® Rescue Spring Auction goes live on the first day of Spring on Ebay! Friday, March 20, 2026 at 8am EST. The auction will run for 10 days. (You won’t be able to see the auction page until the auction goes live, or I would give you a link!)

If you would like to donate an item for the auction you have until Sunday, March 15^th to do so. All submissions go to Jody Ferraro at JLaFerr@aol.com

How to donate an item:

1.      Take several pictures of the item you would like to donate.

2.      Give a detailed description of the item. Good and bad. Include measurements and anything else that may be helpful.

3.      Pack up the item and prepare it ready to be shipped. Weigh and measure the package.

4.      Submit all the pictures, item description, and weight and measurements to Jody so she can create an Ebay listing for your item.

5.      When the item sells, Jody will email you a prepaid shipping label. You have 1-2 days to drop off your item at the post office.

On a personal note, I want to let you know why we didn’t have a Fall/ Holiday Online Auction in 2025. I know you will understand, because after all of these years, I KNOW you.

Jody Ferraro, our Online Auction webmistress was going through something with her own personal Small Paws® Rescue Bichon, Okie Ferraro.

Jody and Okie back in 2013 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at one of the Okie Bashes. She went home with him!

Okie was very well loved by Jody and her husband Steve.

Sadly, Steve passed away from cancer in 2019.

Jody knows loss.

And the seasons passed. Every spring, summer, fall, and winter, came and went, like they do for all of us.

Okie was now 14 and last fall, something just wasn’t right.

He began to have nosebleeds. He didn’t feel well. He was diagnosed with terminal nasal carcinoma.

On January 12, Okie passed.

Jody came to me last fall and told me she didn’t think she could do the auction while taking care of Okie.

I told her to put him first. Of course. No question. That we would all understand.

Thank you Jody, for doing this Auction so soon after Okie’s passing.

We all love and appreciate you! More than you can ever know.

And we are praying for you after the loss of Okie.

He had one great Mom.
