From Sara Rhodes at pacess4@att.net

Hi Robin,

<I am sending this info ASAP! This little girl was surrendered in this condition. All I know is the owner passed away and she was surrenders. She is 9 years old. Her name is currently Cheese Puff but I feel if we take her, she deserves a beautiful name. CACC shelter is overcrowded. Can we take her? Please?

In all my years doing rescue, this is one of the worst matted fluffs I have seen. Sara>

We need to raise funds for this girl. She is nine and as you can see has had nothing done for her. Her teeth are atrocious and many will need to come out. She has dry skin from no air being able to get to her skin. She is very uncomfortable.

The estimate for her vetting is going to be around $1200-1500.00 due to her neglected condition.

And Sara has three more new Bichons, as well in her Team.

But that’s not all.

We have this from Karla Karter, our South Texas Team Leader.

White fluffies are falling from the sky in South Texas!! If you are able to help foster or transport, PLEASE contact me!! We really need FOSTER homes. Without fosters, we can’t save the lives of countless Bichons in South Texas!!

How to Become a Much Needed Small Paws Rescue Foster Parent!

We have saved 20 dogs in the last few of weeks. Here are the latest ones from the last couple of weeks!

Chelsea is a 7 yr old, 14 lb female in Houston. She will be ready for a foster home next week, She was spayed and they found a mammary tumor. The pathology reports showed it was benign! Thank you Dear Lord!!

Clarisse is a 2 yr old, 16 lb female in Austin. She needs out of boarding!! If you can foster Clarisse, please let us know!! She deserves to run and frolic as she prepares for her forever home! She is house trained and a very sweet girl.

Cozy is a 2 yr old male in Houston. He is recovering from upper respiratory and cough, the Vet says he is clear to go to foster. (another need!!)

Tosca is a 1 yr old 11 lb female in Austin. Super friendly and gets along with pups and all people. This little girl needs a foster home as well.

Snowball was owner surrendered to the shelter to be euthanized. The staff there couldn’t bare to follow through with this request. They called SPR to help save Snowball. He is an 8 yr old male, approximately 16 lbs. The staff at the shelter even transported him to our Vet!! Now that’s dedication!! Snowball was bleeding from his rectum, the Vet found a medium sized polyp/mass on his colon. This could be a surgery that could cost about $2,000 at the Specialty Hospital. Dr, Ping, our wonderful Vet, is going to perform the procedure and send the mass off to the lab to be analyzed for $800.00. Please pray for BENIGN report and complete healing of this sweet boy! Many people have seen value in this little guy and we pray for a great outcome and a LOVING forever home!!

Andre is our 5 yr old, 5.8 lb little male, He was picked up Saturday. He has pretty bad dental disease and needs to be neutered. One of the happiest little guys I’ve seen in a while! He slept in the car and must have known he was safe with SPR.

AND, we are scheduled to pick up another 2 yr old female in the morning!!

As you can see, we have been busy in South Texas! Freezing temperatures are heading our direction this week. We pray for the pups outside in the freezing rain, and pray a good Samaritan will pick them up and give them shelter!

God bless all of you!!

We need to raise around $12,000.00 for Sophia Rose and the 20 other Bichons that have been rescued recently in South Texas. We are currently in the red and need help. You know that I don’t ask for help unless we need it.

I hope someone is able to help these poor dogs.

I am here and will issue all matching challenges.

All My Love, Robin
