If you missed our previous newsletter, here it is.

I needed to tell you a couple of important things.

One, is that I forgot to tell the amount of this matching challenge that we posted in yesterday's newsletter. It is for $850.00! Will is a first time challenger. Is there anyone who is able to match his challenge in whole or in part?

From Will Keiper, we have this challenge. (His challenge is for $850.00!) Is there anyone who can match Will? I believe he is a first time challenger. Thank you Will! I hope someone is able to match you!

The second thing is that we have an urgent prayer request from one of our Small Paws family, Shirley Keener in North Carolina.

From: dixiedo55@att.net
Sent: Thursday, February 21, 2013 6:59 PM

We need all the prayers we can get. Macy’s birthday is this Saturday and she will be 48.

Just to give you some background, all this started in July 2011 – since she was originally diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer triple negative she went through 18 chemo treatments, then 30+ radiation treatments, then a double mastectomy, followed by reconstructive surgery. Just before thanksgiving last year we found out that she had tumors in her lungs – following a biopsy.

They found the tumors in her lungs were the same cancer originally in her breast and she was in fact at stage 4 in July of 2011. So after much research and soul searching, we contacted Cancer Centers of America and she is going there for her chemo treatments. We leave Monday afternoon and will fly to Philadelphia Pa to their center there. This will be her 3rd trip there and they will do a pet/cat scan to see if there is any change in the tumors in her lungs. Hopefully they will be either no change or smaller.

Stage 4 is incurable and she will be on chemo for the rest of her life. The cancer was actually stage 4 and was also in her lungs.

I haven’t really spoke about it with anyone as I am having a hard time dealing with this,

If anyone is interested all prayers would be appreciated.

Shirley. we are praying for you and for your daughter!

All My Love, Robin

We had him for the last five years, He is very obedient normally when we say "stay" he will stop wherever he is, so some times we are used to play with him in the yard for he loves to run around the yard in circles, during that time we did not put him on the leash, this particular day he was not on leash and did not yield to the command when he saw some dog across the road. It took off so suddenly the on coming driver did not have time to stop the car. That is how it happened.>

Humphrey Sisco
Dec 26, 1993~ Aug 30, 2006

When I first saw this beautiful picture of Cheri Sisco's "Humphrey", I thought it was truly the epitome of what we do, and why we do it. I wanted to use this black and white picture of Humphrey, taken only days before his death due to congestive heart failure, to let those who may be new to Small Paws, know what we do and why we do it. Without Small Paws, Humphrey would have never known love. He would have died in a kill shelter, sick and alone. Because of Small Paws, and Cheri Sisco, he lived, he loved, and he smiled.
